Discipleship at The Office

Discipleship- following the life pattern of a master- is no easy task. It seems crystal clear to me when I am gathered with fellow followers at weekly meetings, small groups, at church. But during the everyday at work, home, school, following the pattern of the Master gets more and more difficult.

During the everyday conflicting values collide. It's one thing to follow Jesus when I am in the same space with others on the same journey. It's an entirely different matter when I am working with others who are on different journeys and who follow different masters. In the complex situations of everyday life the cost of discipleship (Bonhoffer's term-not mine) must be weighed.

Below are a few snippets, scenarios, scenes of possible everyday life writ large in the style of TV satire. Consider your place as a disciple in the midst these situations.
